DDC — “Enrol Now” Motion Graphic Spot
15-second social promo | Motion Graphics | After Effects + Photoshop1
To help Dance Development Centre kick off their 2025 enrolment season with something bright, cheeky, and impossible to scroll past, I created a fast-paced 15-second motion graphic built from bold colour, retro sound cues and playful movement.

The piece opens on a yellow backdrop in front of a DDC's signature studio brick wall before two dancers slide into frame on a squeak — literally sampled from basketball shoes on a wooden floor — giving the moment a fun, tactile, almost slapstick quality. Their poses then “rattle” and jitter before they swirl together into a vibrant, spinning vortex.

That swirl becomes the transition: the dancers themselves turn into typography, forming the headline ENROL NOW. Once the words snap into place, the whole title bops gently to a quirky, computer-game-style elevator-music like track. The additional sub-copy (“2025 Enrolments Are Now Open”) pulses and flashes in rhythm, giving the piece a playful vintage-arcade energy.

The animation is intentionally simple, graphic and rhythmic — designed to stand out in a sea of polished but predictable enrolment promos. It’s bold, bright, slightly silly, and aims to show the school’s personality: fun, approachable and full of movement.

Tools:
• Adobe After Effects (character cut-outs, motion, swirl FX, text animation)
• Photoshop (clean-ups, masking, colour work)
• SFX (shoe squeaks, swooshes, music)

Role: Concept, design, animation, sound.
